Also pursuing a Doctor of Computer Science, he has spent years with machine-learning systems and the question that sits under the first stages of the signal chain, which is how a scattered body of recordings, notes, and decisions becomes something a system can genuinely reason with. Careless extraction loses the person. His work is making sure it doesn't.
